Requirements

  • Four-year degree required.
  • Seven years' experience in the field.
  • Previous hospital experience required.
  • Previous management experience required.
  • Professional in Human Resources PHR Certification or SHRM Certified Profession CP/SCP preferred.
  • Requires continuing education, which is directly related to the job specification.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field.
  • Knowledge of state, federal and accrediting body regulations and standards related to healthcare.
  • Willingness to participate in goal-setting and educational activities for professional advancement.
  • Ability to relate and work effectively with all levels of staff.
  • Must be computer literate with basic fundamental computer skills.
  • Familiar with Microsoft Office software Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Publisher.

Responsibilities

  • Develops, implements, administers, and maintains benefits programs, policies, and procedures.
  • Ensures programs meet employee needs, comply with legal requirements, and are cost effective.
  • Develops benefit communications and counsels employees on benefits related issues.
  • Assists in managing the learning management system program and website.
  • Trains employees on how to use the web-based system, as well as troubleshoot any questions and/or problems from users.
  • Works jointly with HR Generalists and oversees the sourcing, interviewing and hiring and onboarding processes of employees.
  • Ensures the recruiting strategies are up to date and implements new strategies when applicable.
  • Coordinates and administers the annual performance evaluation processes.
  • Manages the compensation function for the hospital.
  • Plans, develops, and implements new and revised compensation programs, policies and procedures.
  • Ensures that company compensation programs are consistently administered in compliance with internal policies and government regulations.
  • Oversees and supervises the organization's payroll functions.
  • Ensures pay is processed on time, accurately, and in compliance with government regulations.
  • Facilitates and manages employee relations on behalf of the company.
  • Projects a professional demeanor and appearance while maintaining confidentiality.
  • Assists Legal and CEO with the maintenance and follow up on all hospital contracting.
  • Sets up and conducts monthly contracting calls with corporate.
  • Oversees, manages, and develops direct reports.
  • Performs additional duties as assigned.
