About The Position

The Human Resources Director at PSG in Grand Rapids, MI, plays a pivotal role in the site leadership team, reporting directly to the Site General Manager and having a dotted line to the VP of HR. This position is crucial for facilitating and executing the HR strategy within a site that generates approximately $122 million in revenue, specializing in the production of various pump technologies. The HR Director will be responsible for managing the union relationship, overseeing talent management, and ensuring compliance with company HR policies and programs. The Grand Rapids site operates in a unionized environment, which adds a layer of complexity to the HR functions, requiring the HR Director to build strong relationships with union representatives and effectively negotiate collective bargaining agreements. In this role, the HR Director will lead the Human Resources function, ensuring that HR policies and programs are accurately interpreted and administered. This includes engaging in day-to-day HR operations related to employee relations, rewards and recognition, talent management, and workforce planning. The HR Director will also be tasked with driving a performance-based culture, providing coaching and change management support, and guiding managers and employees through various HR processes to support career development and performance management. Additionally, the HR Director will implement and update compensation programs, monitor performance review processes, and maintain budgets. They will collaborate with the Global HR Team to ensure effectiveness and may lead specialized projects. The role also involves delivering high-quality HR administrative duties, supporting talent acquisition efforts, and ensuring compliance with all relevant employment laws and regulations. The HR Director will promote a positive work environment and maintain confidentiality while managing sensitive issues.
