About The Position

AtkinsRéalis is seeking a Human Resource Director Energy to join our team in our Lexington, KY office. This role provides guidance and leadership in the implementation of all human resources (HR) policies and processes that support company and project objectives. The HR Director serves as a resource to support and advise business leaders regarding decisions affecting the employee population, ensuring a positive and safe working environment. As the most senior HR representative, the Director will lead all managers with integrity to execute HR strategies that support employee experience, project success, equity, diversity, and inclusion (ED&I), and other cultural and strategic objectives. The position involves managing a team of HR professionals and establishing HR practices to enhance capabilities and effectiveness.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree required in HR or a related business field.
  • A minimum of 15 years of HR experience.
  • A minimum of 10 years of management experience.
  • Experience in recruitment, employment law, labor relations, employee and leadership development, training, and benefits and compensation.
  • Ability to effectively communicate policies and procedures to employees and management.
  • Successful work experience in HR functional areas.
  • Ability to analyze data and recognize HR trends.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality regarding sensitive matters.
  • Strong teamwork skills and positive communication abilities.
  • Professional in Human Resources (PHR), SHRM-CP or other HR certification.
  • Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR) or SHRM-SCP preferred.
  • Experience in government contracting.
  • Experience supporting complex projects.
  • Must be a U.S. citizen.

Responsibilities

  • Provides guidance and leadership to the project in the implementation of all HR policies and processes.
  • Serves as a resource to support and advise business leaders regarding employee-related decisions.
  • Creates a positive and safe working environment accessible to employees.
  • Leads all managers in executing HR strategies to support employee experience and project success.
  • Manages a team of HR professionals supporting labor relations, compensation and benefits, recruitment, workforce planning, and employee relations.
  • Establishes HR practices and recommends changes to enhance HR function capabilities.
  • Monitors compliance with federal and state regulations and company policies.
  • Addresses performance and employee relations issues in a timely manner.
  • Functions as a change agent advocating for continuous improvement.
  • Manages employee onboarding and termination processes.
  • Uses analysis and problem-solving skills to research HR issues and implement resolutions.
  • Acts as a liaison between the company and employees regarding corporate policies.
  • Manages project Employee Concerns Program according to customer requirements.
  • Collaborates with recruiters and hiring managers to meet project staffing needs.
  • Facilitates companywide HR training as needed.
  • Manages and reports on HR-related special projects.
