About The Position

If you are a Human Resources professional looking for an opportunity to grow your career, this role offers the chance to lead strategic people initiatives across the Americas while shaping a high-quality employee experience for a global organization. Based at the Professional Tools global headquarters in Elyria, Ohio, you will serve as a key member of the Global HR Leadership Team and report to the Vice President of Human Resources with dotted line reporting to the President of Professional Tools Americas. You will guide a high performing HR team, partner with senior leaders across the region, and align HR strategies and programs with business needs and organizational priorities.

Requirements

  • A bachelor’s degree in human resources, business, or a related field (advanced degree is preferred).
  • Minimum of 8 years of progressive HR experience in employee relations, enablement, and HR leadership.
  • Strong communication, coaching, and conflict resolution skills.
  • Demonstrated success working within a matrixed organizational structure.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience managing employee relations and HR compliance programs in a multi-site or manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

  • Act as the strategic HR business partner for the President of Professional Tools for the Americas, overseeing all corporate functions and multiple manufacturing sites to ensure operational excellence, compliance, workforce readiness, and alignment with production and safety priorities.
  • Lead with an employee-first mindset to design and implement programs that attract, engage, and retain talent while supporting organizational commitments and business goals.
  • Serve as the primary escalation and decision-making authority for complex employee relations matters, investigations, and ethics concerns in partnership with Legal and HR leadership.
  • Build people manager capability and strengthen organizational effectiveness through performance management, talent reviews, succession planning, and regional engagement initiatives that span key employee lifecycle programs.
  • Partner with Operations leadership on workforce planning, staffing models, shift structures, and labor cost management to support manufacturing readiness and business continuity.
  • Lead internal communication strategies that enable people managers, support organizational change, and improve transparency and connection across the Americas.
