About The Position

The Human Resources Coordinator at Hampton Roads Community Health Center is responsible for the day-to-day operations of the HR department. This role includes coordinating new hire orientations and trainings, assisting with employee engagement, and monitoring credentialing and compliance. The coordinator will also manage HR documentation and support various HR projects and events.

Requirements

  • Associate's degree in business, human resources, or related field (Bachelor's degree preferred).
  • At least 2 years of Human Resources experience or related field experience.
  • 1 year of leadership experience (preferred).

Responsibilities

  • Manage, update, and create HR documents for company use.
  • Assist in coordinating HR projects and events such as Benefit Fairs, Job Fairs, and Employee Recognition Programs.
  • Manage and input employee personnel records in the HR system, including ongoing changes.
  • Conduct and coordinate New Employee Orientation and ensure all new hire information is accurate in HR systems.
  • Create new employee HR folders and ensure new hires are enrolled in required training software.
  • Answer employee requests and questions as part of customer service functions.
  • Perform periodic audits of HR files and records to ensure compliance and proper filing.
  • Provide clerical support to the HR department, including data entry and general clerical tasks.
  • Assist with record retention processes and ensure the Employee Handbook is compliant and updated.
  • Assist with the preparation of the performance review process.
