About The Position

The Human Resources Coordinator provides administrative support for the Human Resources Department, including but not limited to supporting the Workforce Shareholder Development team, HR Generalists team, Benefits Administration team and the VP of HR. This intermediate level position provides a high level of variety in work duties and requires the incumbent to always adhere to all local/state and federal laws and regulations as applicable.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
  • Minimum of two years' Human Resources experience preferred.
  • Experience using an HRIS system, Workday experience preferred.
  • Minimum two years' professional administrative work experience in an area that required high levels of accuracy or auditing required.
  • Valid state driver's license and be qualified to operate a vehicle under the conditions of Calista's Driving Policy.
  • Ability to pass a pre-employment drug, driving and background screening.

Nice To Haves

  • Ability to speak Yup'ik preferred.
  • Associates or Bachelor's Degree preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Performs clerical and administrative duties such as filing, scanning, copying, and data entry.
  • Enters confidential personnel data into HRIS/Workday software.
  • Follows HRIS workflows and processes.
  • Pulls reports from HRIS/Workday software as directed, analyzes data and uses results to complete tasks.
  • Point person for incoming Human Resource mail and responsible for directing them to the correct Human Resource staff members.
  • Monitors HR Inbox and completes employment verifications and assists with credit card application processing.
  • Assists HR Generalists with recruitment tasks; job postings, candidate sourcing, screening applications, and setting up interviews.
  • Follow Company applicant tracking and requisition procedures; ensure applicant tracking is up-to-date, and recruitment files are maintained with all essential pieces.
  • Coordinate and/or perform pre-employment processes: drug testing, background checks, employment verifications, etc.
  • Schedule and assist in presenting new hire orientations following Calista's onboarding process.
  • Provide exceptional levels of customer service and timely follow-up with applicants and internal customers.
  • Assist WFSD with the coordination and preparation of hosting and participating in job fairs and community events.
  • Assist in the coordination and logistics of travel arrangements for candidates and/or employees as directed.
  • Assist in the drafting, editing and formatting of HR-related documents as directed.
  • Assist with compliance related activities: required work site postings, EEO-1, Veterans 100, E-Verify, etc.
  • Participate in developing department goals and objectives.
  • Retain records in compliance with corporate and government record retention requirements.
  • Attend related Human Resources training; stay apprised of legal and best practice updates.
  • Work collaboratively with all team members to ensure a positive work environment.
  • Work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
