To serve as an integral member of the human resources team in creating and supporting a positive and productive workplace. This position requires strong analytical skills with attention to detail.
Coordinate payroll changes.
Document and track employee injuries, leaves, and other events.
Assist with recruitment efforts.
Assemble new employee onboarding packets, process new hire paperwork, and assist with orientations.
Create and maintain personnel files.
Record benefit changes and generate notices.
Provide support for human resources functions.
Gather information and compile reports.
Maintain human resource databases and computer programs from input to generating reports.
Promote and administer employee programs such as wellness, education, and employee assistance program.
Coordinate the collection, filing, and destruction of HR paperwork.
Process mail and invoices.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Bachelor's degree in human resources, business administration, or related degree required.
Human Resource or payroll experience strongly preferred.
A combination of education and experience may be considered in meeting the requirements for this position.
Certification as a Certified Payroll Professional (CPP), Professional in Human Resources (PHR) or SHRM Certified Professional (SHRM-CP) preferred.
Must possess a valid state driver license, free of serious or frequent traffic violations.

Maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information appropriately.
Present in a professional manner and with excellent interpersonal skills in order to establish and maintain working relationships with others.
Perform a wide variety of duties and responsibilities with accuracy and speed under the pressure of time-sensitive deadlines and changing priorities.

Communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
Strong mathematical and analytical skills.
Use spreadsheets, word processing, and database computer software programs.
Accurate data entry skills; detect and correct errors.

Knowledge of payroll, garnishments, withholdings, and benefit distribution.
Knowledge of local, state and federal regulations and laws affecting human resources.
Knowledge of relationship between human resources and payroll functions.
Able to quickly learn and retain concepts that may be unfamiliar.
Be of good moral character and able to adhere to professional ethical standards of conduct as a public employee working in the public administration and operation of airports.
