San Diego Humane Society is hiring a full-time Employee Engagement Coordinator for our Employee Engagement team! Requirements

Requires an associate’s degree in business or related field, and a minimum of one (1) year of professional related experience working in an administrative capacity in a busy office environment, or any equivalent combination of professional experience and education.
Must have a valid driver’s license and be approved by SDHS insurance carrier to drive a company or personal vehicle for work purposes.
The ideal candidate will have personal qualities of integrity, compassion, and attention to detail as well as the ability to demonstrate discretion, professional judgment, and support of the SDHS mission and organization decisions.
In addition to the above requirements, we are seeking candidates with a sense of humor who enjoy actively supporting and participating in company events and functions and regularly interacting with multiple stakeholders (staff members, volunteers, applicants, vendors, etc.).
Other relevant experience should include an intermediate to advanced level of proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly with Excel, and the ability to speak and present information to large groups in a professional and friendly manner.

Nice To Haves

At least one (1) year prior work experience in a Human Resources Department, or completion of or current enrollment in an HR certificate program, preferred.

Responsibilities

Under the supervision of the Total Rewards Manager, manages the EE general support email inbox, ensuring inquiries are responded to in a timely fashion.
Composes various correspondence and communications to employees as needed and/or requested.
Provides administrative support for the Employee Engagement team.
Responsible for entering data into SDHS’ HRIS/Payroll system and various tracking logs and reports in the HR folder/drive and ensuring all legally required labor law posters, notices, etc. are posted and up to date.
In collaboration with the VP of Employee Engagement, creates annual departmental budget and maintains budget tracking spreadsheet on an ongoing basis.
Processes and scans all charges for the departmental credit card and processes departmental invoices.
Assists with basic modified duty, leave, and compensation administration.
Supports the Associate Director of Safety by acting as the back-up point of contact for worker’s compensation questions and claims, including submitting claims to the insurance company and ensuring that injury information is entered correctly and processed in the organization’s Safety Management Software.
In coordination with the EE Analyst, assists with various recognition initiatives and programs including social committee events, holiday parties, All-Staff, Employee Appreciation Week, etc.
Presents information on SDHS policies and procedures to employees during New Hire Orientation.
