About The Position

The HR Support Specialist provides administrative support to the HR department services. This role involves supporting employee benefit inquiries and enrollment, performing the new-hire employee process post-start, and assisting with benefits management. The specialist also assists with the coordination of coworkers' compensation claims and processes, monitors "Ask Here," and provides maintenance support for the HCMS system (Paycom). Additionally, the position provides support as needed to maintain licensing compliance. Key duties include administrative support such as entering new hires, updating transfers, status changes, promotions, processing paperwork, and maintaining records. The HR Support Specialist will also assist HR team members with employee inquiries, handle employee concerns, and maintain accurate employee records, including employment history, licensing compliance documentation, and benefits information. Further responsibilities encompass managing PAYCOM notifications (ACA, COBRA, benefits), supporting licensing compliance (OIG/SAM), performing PAYCOM maintenance (transfers, changes, document uploads, EE portal file maintenance, PAFs), developing reports and analytics in Paycom, managing COBRA, reviewing carrier billing, and reviewing unemployment compensation claims for NJ and PA. The role also supports general benefits activity, including staff enrollment and education, and assists HR Representatives with Workers' Compensation claims reporting and filing.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's in Communication, Human Resource Management, and Business
  • One year in an HR environment
  • Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build rapport with employees and leadership
  • Experience in lieu of education requirement possible

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records, including employee information, employment history, licensing compliance documentation, and benefits information
  • Manage PAYCOM notifications, including ACA, COBRA, benefits, etc.
  • Support management of “Ask Here.”
  • Support the administrative post-hire of New Hires into Paycom
  • Support Licensing Compliance: OIG/SAM, support the Sr. HR Business Partner with compliance activity
  • Perform PAYCOM maintenance: Transfers, Changes, document uploads, EE portal file maintenance, PAFs
  • Perform Report development and analytics (Paycom)
  • Manage Benefit: COBRA management
  • Perform Carrier billing review
  • Perform Unemployment Compensation claim reviews for NJ and PA
