About The Position

This position is responsible for payroll, hourly recruiting, and is involved with accounts payable and benefits related issues. Assists Human Resource Operations Manager (HROM) with various administrative functions. Coordinate with supervisors and managers to process and review the weekly/bi-weekly payroll timely and accurately. Daily monitoring of time clock system to ensure data accuracy. Serve as point person for all payroll related issues and concerns (hourly employee maintenance-direct deposit, tax changes, raises etc...). Process new hires and terminations including E-Verify, NARFs, PAFs, etc. Communicate the various benefit plans (i.e., healthcare, life insurance, retirement savings programs). Lead the recruiting process for plant hourly positions using approved resources, i.e., applicant tracking system. Record and maintain all information necessary to prepare affirmative action plans. Maintain electronic employee human resource files through human resources information system (HRIS) Assist employees with Self-Service and other self-help resources. Lead and initiate performance management process to include performance reviews and disciplinary process. Assist and guide plant leaders with basic employee relations issues and escalate to HROM as appropriate. Process and verify payment of invoices on a timely basis. Actively assist with audits. Onboard all new hourly and salaried employees. Administer, log, maintain, and track all required training courses. Serve as point person for employees regarding FMLA and other leave issues. Participate in and assist HR Operations team with implementing policy, procedures, and practices involving the Human Resource function. Three-shift operation requires flexing schedule at times. Actively participate in all plant meetings. Engage with employees by participating in activities and regular facility walk throughs. Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • 2 – 3 years of Human Resources, Attendance Tracking, Recruiting and Payroll experience and solid knowledge of basic federal and employment laws.
  • Intermediate level skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.
  • Sitting, Walking, Climbing as required in a manufacturing environment.
  • Good Listening Skills; Public speaking abilities to communicate with both hourly and salaried personnel.
  • Organizational skills; Decision-making ability; Multi-tasking; Must have strong analytical and problem-solving abilities to accommodate a quick-paced environment (a quick thinker).

Nice To Haves

  • Associate degree in Business field preferred.
  • Experience with human resources information systems and Applicant tracking systems.
