About The Position

The Human Resource Generalist is responsible for providing administrative support for day-to-day human resource operations, including onboarding and benefits administration. This role involves working closely with current HR personnel to ensure accurate record-keeping and compliance with labor legislation.

Requirements

  • Proven work experience as an HR Assistant or Coordinator required.
  • Solid understanding of labor legislation.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong problem-solving skills.
  • Bachelor's degree in human resources is a plus.

  • Previous Union experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain accurate records of new hires, terminations, and other employment changes.
  • Ensure employee data is up-to-date and confidential.
  • Help create and maintain job descriptions.
  • Handle the onboarding process.
  • Manage verification forms, unemployment claims, and other employee inquiries.
  • Assist with benefits administration.
