About The Position

The Human Resources Coordinator plays a crucial role in supporting the HR functions for both skilled and non-skilled departments. This position is responsible for managing staffing processes, including recruitment, scheduling, and onboarding of candidates. The HR Coordinator serves as the initial contact for the hiring process, ensuring a professional and efficient experience for applicants and employees alike.

Requirements

  • Two years of professional work experience with at least one year of supervisory experience.
  • Associate Degree or Human Resource Certification preferred.
  • Must meet initial and ongoing educational requirements as stipulated by local, state, and federal guidelines.
  • Previous experience in an office manager role is preferred.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office: Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Superior organizational skills, time and priority management, self-motivated, resourceful, detail-oriented, and energetic.
  • Team player with outstanding writing, editing, data entry, and proofreading skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to prioritize and handle multiple projects.

Responsibilities

  • Retrieve mail, sort, separate for payment, scan and mail.
  • Create and/or maintain applicant and employee pages for all position types.
  • Call applicants about job openings.
  • Deliver/send, collect and process New Hire paperwork.
  • Schedule initial and second interviews and complete related paperwork.
  • Schedule Drug screenings and collect and file/upload results.
  • Schedule TB screenings and collect and file/upload results.
  • Perform Background checks and collect and file/upload results.
  • Collect digital photo and create employee ID.
  • Ensure agency applicants/contractors are not excluded from Medicare/Medicaid programs.
  • Process State Unemployment Insurance (SUI) documents.
  • Maintain and organize personnel files according to state and agency policies.
  • Collect and review weekly timesheets for accuracy.
  • Oversee verification of submitted hours worked against records.
  • Setup and/or update employees in ADP, including W4 and Direct Deposit.
  • Enter weekly payroll information in ADP.
  • Ensure compliance with employment and wage laws.
  • Process employee withholding orders and update ADP.
  • Monitor applicant status continuously.
  • Attend Career Fairs and manage recruitment efforts.
  • Monitor supplies and resources.
  • Maintain licensing database for employee certifications.
  • Assist in administering compensation and performance evaluation programs.
  • Administer Health Insurance Open Enrollment and benefits administration.
  • Conduct recruitment efforts for all associates and new-employee orientations.
  • Conduct employee relations counseling and exit interviews.
  • Evaluate reports and recommend improvements for department efficiency.
  • Provide weekly reports and information to ownership.
  • Investigate grievances made by clients or representatives.
  • Knowledge of regulatory requirements at various levels.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
