About The Position

The Human Resource Coordinator-Recruiter plays a vital role in supporting the Human Resource Manager and various departments by managing recruitment, onboarding, and other HR functions. This position is responsible for implementing recruitment strategies, ensuring compliance with HR practices, and providing administrative support to enhance the agency's workforce in alignment with its goals and values.

Requirements

  • Demonstrated experience in organizational and staff development, recruitment, or human resources.
  • Associates degree in Human Resources, recruitment, or related field with relevant experience preferred or at least 2-3 years of HR or recruiting experience.
  • PHR or SHRM-CP Certification or equivalent certification in human resources preferred, not required.
  • Working understanding of human resource principles, practices, and procedures.
  • Strong computer skills with the ability to use HRIS software and MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS).
  • Knowledge of compliance and safety management in HR.

Responsibilities

  • Assist and support agency goals related to diversity, equity, inclusion, and recruitment opportunities.
  • Exercise discretion in handling sensitive and confidential employee data and organizational changes.
  • Coordinate and implement the agency's recruiting programs and stay updated on best recruiting practices.
  • Participate in the recruitment, applicant review, screening, selection, and interview process.
  • Prepare and post job openings, schedule interviews, and coordinate the selection process including reference/background checks.
  • Develop a network of employer resource services and participate in job fairs and recruitment events.
  • Track candidate status in the Applicant Tracking System (ATS) and provide follow-up communication.
  • Arrange and schedule meetings, tracking deadlines as appropriate.
  • Administer and monitor the new hire onboarding process, ensuring all departments are notified.
  • Maintain and process employee records including filing, new hires, changes, and terminations.
