Job Description: The Human Resources Coordinator provides hands-on support across core HR functions, including recruiting, staffing, employee relations, HRIS administration, reporting, and event coordination. This role assists with new hire processes, training, performance review tracking, and policy execution while maintaining accurate records and ensuring compliance with HR standards. The coordinator supports employees and leaders with routine HR inquiries, coordinates medical leave and return‑to‑work processes, and contributes to continuous improvement projects. Strong organizational skills, confidentiality, multitasking ability, and experience with HR systems such as UKG/Workday are essential. The Human Resources coordinator is a hands-on representative of the Human Resources department whose job is to help facilitate all basic Human Resources functions. The coordinator reports to the Human Resources manager or Sr. HR Business Partner or director. The Human Resources coordinator multitasks through actively participating in the recruiting/staffing process, employment reporting such as employee turnover and retention, addressing employee matters and organizing work and event activities for a company. This position may perform research, analytics, and lead smaller projects in HR focusing on process improvement. This position is responsible for preparing and coordinating any functions pertaining to employment, compensation, labor negotiations and employee relations. The Human Resources coordinator plays an active role in formulating methods to improve employment policies, processes and practices as well as recommending changes to management. This position will conduct research, analysis and reporting in addition to daily tasks and lead small continuous improvement projects. Administrative DutiesProvide back up receptionist coverage for the Plant or department Run reports, update KPI files, and input data Order and maintain needed inventory of supplies (office, first aid, etc.) Attend, participate, create, and administer meeting minutes Coordinates annual employee training (CPR, AED, BBP, First Aid, RTK, etc.) Coordinates plant or department events HRIS / Record RetentionEnters new employees into system. Runs queries for information as needed to support delivery partners Maintains personnel files in compliance with records retention policy and applicable legal requirements Acts as site liaison in troubleshooting associate issues relating to payroll, timekeeping and benefits Coordinates and monitors production associate merit increases and performance reviews Exempt and office non-exempt timekeeper for the plant and back-up for production timekeeper; maintains calendar of office associate schedules Provides training and direction for other system users Staffing ProcessesAssists with recruiting efforts Assists with screening, interviewing and selecting candidates for temporary/regular positions Coordinates necessary pre-employment testing Acts as liaison between Company and staffing service partners Participates in and coordinates the new hire orientation process and ensures all required paperwork and benefits forms are filled out correctly and processed through the ESC Coordinates voluntary/involuntary layoff and return processes Employee Relations FacilitationVisible and accessible to all associates, providing policy clarification, answering routine HR-related inquiries and referring complex matters to management and/or HR Generalist Coordinate various associate meetings, including scheduling, invitations, room arrangements, lunches, maintaining attendance records Oversees special events for staff by coordinating committees and schedules, and staying within budget Maintains facility bulletin boards Participates in community partnership events and activities Compiles information and creates stand-up meeting notes for supervisors Health Services / SafetyAssists associates with medical leave related questions and paperwork, coordinating with Corporate Health Services Assists associates and supervisors in the return-to-work process Coordinates the scheduling of shoe mobile, Flu shots, Red Cross, etc. Coordinates administrative processes between Health Services and Medical Providers and the site May assess if restricted duty work can be accommodated Tracks associates on long-term disability process
