About The Position

The Human Resources Coordinator at Smithfield Foods is responsible for providing administrative support to the HR department, focusing on recruiting, policy administration, training, and various administrative tasks. Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 2+ years of relevant experience in Human Resources.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
• Solid understanding of Human Resources functions and requirements.
• Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information with discretion.
• Previous experience with Workday/HCM systems preferred.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
• Bilingual preferred.

Responsibilities

• Answers routine questions and inquiries related to HR procedures and operations.
• Provides resources to empower employees regarding FMLA, LOA, ADA, and Workday.
• Processes HR documentation for employees, including I-9 compliance.
• Schedules meetings and training sessions as requested by HR and Operations partners.
• Assists in preparing correspondence as needed.
• Monitors facility time and attendance and initiates corrective actions as necessary.
• Facilitates orientation and training documentation.
• Conducts exit interviews and compiles feedback.
• Completes special assignments and projects as required.
• Engages with employees on the production floor to build relationships and support HR initiatives.
• Assists in HR-related compliance audits.
