About The Position

The HR Consultant at Hinman and Associates will oversee the daily operations of the Human Resource department, focusing on hiring, employee benefits administration, and policy enforcement.   • At least one year of payroll and recruiting experience.

Responsibilities

  • Run daily functions of the Human Resource department including hiring and interviewing staff.
  • Administer pay, benefits, and leave.
  • Enforce company policies and practices.
  • Review, track, and document compliance with mandatory and non-mandatory training and assessments.
  • Recruit, interview, and facilitate the hiring of qualified job applicants for open positions.
  • Conduct background checks and employee eligibility verifications.
  • Implement new hire orientation and employee recognition programs.
  • Perform routine tasks required to administer human resource programs including compensation, benefits, and leave.
  • Handle employment-related inquiries from applicants, employees, and supervisors.
  • Attend and participate in employee disciplinary meetings, terminations, and investigations.
  • Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
  • Maintain knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources.
