About The Position
Barrett Business Services, Inc. (BBSI) is dedicated to helping business owners focus on their core operations by providing outsourced HR, risk consultation, payroll administration, insurance, and recruiting services tailored for small and medium-sized businesses. As a Human Resources Consultant, you will play a pivotal role in supporting our clients and internal teams by delivering expert guidance and support across a wide range of organizational issues. This position requires a strong business acumen and an entrepreneurial spirit, as you will be expected to proactively deliver results for both clients and the internal team. The HR Consultant will be responsible for consulting on strategic human capital management, ensuring compliance with employment laws, managing employee relations, and facilitating organizational development. You will also oversee workers' compensation administration and help develop best practices in human resources. This full-time, exempt position reports directly to the Area Manager and collaborates closely with other roles within the business unit, branch, and corporate office. In this role, you will spend approximately 80% of your time out of the office, primarily working with clients at their locations. Your expertise will be crucial in guiding clients through complex HR challenges and helping them build stronger, more effective organizations.
