About The Position

The Human Resources Clerk will perform various administrative tasks and services to support effective and efficient operations of the organizations human resource department. This position is responsible for coordinating: temporary staffing agencies, recruiting, administrative support, compliance, and employee engagement efforts.

Requirements

  • Associates degree in related field required.
  • 2-3 years of experience in Human Resources, preferred
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
  • Bilingual (English Spanish)
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
  • Intermediate analytical and mathematical skills.
  • Proficient with or the ability to quickly learn payroll management, human resource information system (HRIS), and similar computer applications.
  • Knowledgeable in Federal and State laws and regulations
  • Working knowledge in company policies and procedures related to Human Resources
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to manage sensitive and confidential situations with tact, professionalism, and diplomacy.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work within established processing timeframes to complete tasks accurately.
  • Demonstrated good judgment and discretion in handling confidential information.
  • Organization skills with the ability to multi-task and be detail oriented.

Responsibilities

  • Conducts sourcing, recruiting, and selection of hourly positions.
  • Conducts hiring process.
  • Conducts new hire orientation.
  • Manages, documents, and actively improves new hire integration and engagement.
  • Communicates on regular basis with temporary agencies to ensure on time delivery of temporary personnel needed.
  • Acts as a liaison between the temporary agencies and operations supervisors, requesting information and feedback to ensure proper communication between all parties.
  • Maintains accurate and up-to-date human resource files, records, and documentation.
  • Maintains the integrity and confidentiality of human resource files and records.
  • Maintains employee’s records electronically and updated in the HRIS system.
  • Answers frequently asked questions from applicants and employees relative to standard policies, benefits, hiring processes, etc.; refers more complex questions to appropriate senior-level HR staff or management.
  • Provides clerical support to the HR department, included but not limited to applicant tracking, weekly reporting on staffing updates, basic and non-complex employee relations items, employee files organizing and updating, etc.
  • Actively participates with planning and execution of special and employee events such as benefits enrollment, organization-wide meetings, employee recognition/engagement efforts, proposes new ideas, and others as required.
  • Contributes to a work environment that encourages knowledge of, respect for, and development of skills to engage with those of other cultures or backgrounds.
  • Prioritizes tasks and projects, tracks and reviews work progress, providing status on a regular basis.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
