ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS. Human Resources: Collaborate with the branch leadership team to forecast staffing needs across the supported branch. Ensure compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations at branch Assists VP, Human Resources in developing and implementing HR policies, procedures and initiatives that align with company goals and objectives. Partners VP, Human Resources and with other HR team members to regularly review and update Employee Handbook and other HR policies as needed. Collaborate with Human Resources team for New Employee Orientation, (NEO). Ensures compliance with I-9 Employment Eligibility Verification, including periodic audits. Supports other HR areas when needed for payroll, onboarding or employee orientation. Other duties as assigned Training & Development Monitor and follow up on the effectiveness and usefulness of training programs Maintain company-wide training records Vert good presentation and facilitation skills, with potential to develop further Excellent interpersonal and influsing skills, demonstrated ability to develop positive working relationships supporting collaborative work within Human Resources and across the association Manages training history and provides reports as needed Reviews and updates training material on frequent basis Collaborates with other groups to promote training programs Utilizes the LMS to schedule, deliver, and track training programs Provides training support in other areas as needed Employee Relations Consults with, and provides guidance to, employees and leaders on compliance with employment-related programs, policies and procedures, employment laws, employee relations matters, conflict resolution, disciplinary processes, and terminations, to promote a fair and equitable work environment. Oversees ER cases and investigations and raises sensitive and/or high-risk issues as appropriate. Provides reports, findings, and recommendations for resolution to HR leadership and ensures all appropriate documentation including investigation findings and closure of cases are filed accordingly. Analyzes and maintains employee relations trends in attrition, talent management practices, exit interview data, and grievances, compiles findings, and makes recommendations for improvement where needed. Assists with the development of employee relations practices necessary to establish a proactive, positive employer-employee relationship. Promotes a high level of employee engagement by partnering with management to identify long-term /on-going performance issues that have not been addressed or performance that has not improved. Assists with the development and implementation of employment policies, procedures and programs that meet regulatory compliance, align with the company’s culture, mission, vision, and values, and promote employee engagement. Participates in the termination process ensuring timeliness with final pay, separation paperwork, and collection of company property. Conducts exit interviews for voluntary terminations as appropriate and provides actionable insights. Handles routine human resource inquiries related to policies and procedures, refers complex matters to appropriate VP, Human Resources. Serves as an initial contact and liaison for intake and assessment of employee complaints. Conducts initial interviews and gathers information for employee relations matters such as harassment allegations, work complaints, or other concerns; informs VP, Human Resources when additional investigation is required. Maintains knowledge and understanding of laws and regulations related to EEO and human resources. Create, prepare, update and maintain HR reports for analyzing, reporting and managing data.
