About The Position

NOW CFO is assisting their client with finding a direct-hire full-time HRBP to join their team on a permanent basis. The Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP) acts as a trusted advisor to leaders, supporting people strategy, performance, and culture. This role partners closely with leadership to align HR initiatives with business goals while helping drive employee engagement, development, and organizational effectiveness. Local San Diego candidates will be considered

Requirements

  • Bachelors degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field
  • 5+ years of progressive HR experience in a generalist or business partner capacity
  • Strong working knowledge of employment law and HR best practices
  • Proven ability to build relationships and influence leaders at all levels
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills
  • Experience working with HRIS platforms and Microsoft Office tools

Nice To Haves

  • HR certification such as SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, or SPHR
  • Experience supporting multi-site or matrixed organizations
  • Background in organizational development, change management, or people strategy

Responsibilities

  • Partner with leaders to develop and execute HR strategies that support business objectives
  • Advise on workforce planning, organizational structure, and succession planning
  • Manage employee relations matters, including coaching, investigations, and performance-related issues
  • Support performance management processes and employee development initiatives
  • Collaborate with recruiting teams to support hiring, onboarding, and talent planning
  • Analyze HR data and trends to help guide decision-making and improve HR programs
  • Ensure compliance with employment laws, internal policies, and best practices
  • Support change management initiatives during periods of growth or transformation
  • Serve as a resource to managers and employees on HR-related questions and concerns
