About The Position

Gordon Rees Scully Mansukhani, a distinguished national law firm with offices in all 50 states, is seeking an experienced Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP) to join our Human Resources team in Denver, CO. This role serves as a strategic and operational partner to firm leadership, supporting a diverse, multi-state employee population in a fast-paced professional services environment. The HRBP acts as a trusted advisor to business leaders, providing guidance across employee relations, compliance, HR systems, workforce planning, and performance management. This is a hybrid position, with three days in office and two days WFH.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 5+ years of progressive HR experience with significant employee relations responsibility.
  • Experience supporting a multi-state workforce.
  • Hands-on experience with HRIS and ATS platforms in a mid-to-large organization.
  • Strong knowledge of federal, state, and local employment laws.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage complex projects and competing priorities with urgency.
  • Strong analytical and strategic thinking capabilities.
  • High level of discretion and integrity in handling confidential matters.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence at all organizational levels.
  • Public speaking and facilitation experience.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Teams, Outlook).

Responsibilities

  • Strategic HR Partnership Partner with firm leadership to align HR initiatives with business objectives.
  • Provide proactive counsel on workforce planning, compensation planning, organizational design, and FLSA analysis.
  • Review and manage workflow changes within the HRIS.
  • Serve as liaison between departments and Payroll, Benefits, HR Operations, and Recruitment.
  • Lead complex cross-functional HR initiatives and projects.
  • Advise on contingent workforce practices and resource planning.
  • Employee Relations & Compliance Coach managers on performance management, policy interpretation, and complex employee relations matters.
  • Conduct and support workplace investigations; provide recommendations aligned with firm policies and applicable employment laws.
  • Guide involuntary termination processes and related communications.
  • Partner with Legal to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment regulations.
  • Identify trends through exit interviews and HR metrics; recommend actionable improvements.
  • Talent & Performance Management Support development of firm-wide talent management strategies.
  • Facilitate trainings and presentations for leadership and employees.
  • Collaborate on succession planning, retention strategies, and engagement initiatives.
  • Analyze HR metrics to identify trends impacting performance and productivity.
  • Mentor and support team members as appropriate.
