The Opportunity Were looking for an energetic, people-loving HR Generalist to support our footprint across TN, NC, SC, and Northern AL. In this role, youll be a trusted partner to our operations teams and restaurant leaderssupporting recruiting, onboarding, employee relations, benefits, and HR best practices across multiple locations. Requirements

  • 3+ years of HR Generalist experience in a multi-unit restaurant, hospitality or retail environment, with strong recruiting and employee relations experience
  • Proven success in high-volume recruiting within multi-unit restaurant, retail, or hospitality environment
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with excellent attention to detail
  • A proactive, solutions-oriented mindsetyou see opportunities and take action
  • Multi-unit experience (restaurant experience strongly preferred)
  • Demonstrated ability to maintain accurate HR data and documentation
  • Intermediate or advanced Excel skills
  • Bachelors degree in Human Resources or equivalent professional experience
  • Ability to work remotely while regularly visiting restaurants across TN, AL, NC, and SC, with occasional travel to our Home Office in New Orleans

Responsibilities

  • Supporting all HR functions for 11 restaurants, with additional locations as we grow
  • Leading and supporting manager recruitment, partnering closely with Regional VPs of Operations
  • Supporting restaurant teams in driving strong applicant flow for our hourly Ruby Krewe
  • Onboarding managers and supporting remote orientations for hourly team members
  • Championing Rubys culture and Employee Experience Standards through training, auditing, and coaching
  • Tracking retention and engagement trends and partnering with leaders on action plans to reduce turnover
  • Investigating and resolving employee relations matters with empathy, fairness, and consistency
  • Training managers on HR policies, people practices, and HR systems
  • Partnering with Training & Operations to support career paths, development plans, and internal promotions
  • Auditing HR records and ensuring systems and practices are executed effectively
  • Supporting HR needs for new restaurant openings in the region
  • Collaborating with the HR team on broader initiatives including performance management, reporting, diversity outreach, and special projects
