Human Resources Business Partner
About The Position
The HR Business Partner helps align our organization’s people strategy with its business strategy. Together with managers, the HRBPs works on setting priorities, driving values, and delivering business results. Alltown Bus Service and DHT Transportation have been providing school transportation and specialized coach and charter services in Detroit and throughout Chicago and the surrounding suburbs for over 27 years. Alltown operates a fleet of over 600 buses across six locations, three of which are located on Chicago’s north, west, and south sides. The size and presence of Alltown and DHT in Detroit and across metro Chicago allows us to provide personal attention to our customers’ individual needs; our motto is “Service Is All We Have to Sell” and we take great pride in having earned the reputation of providing excellent customer service to all of our passengers and customers.
Requirements
- Three (3) years of progressive Human Resources experience
- College degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Psychology, or equivalent
Responsibilities
- Promote diversity awareness in hiring practices
- Mentor managers on employee development best practices
- Responsible for administering performance management program
- Advise leadership on hiring and terminations
- Administer payroll, employee benefits and FMLA
- Provide guidance on employee behavior and conflict resolution
- Conduct investigations in response to employee complaints
- Partner with leadership to develop succession plans
- Perform other duties as assigned
