About The Position

Our client is seeking an experienced Human Resource Business Partner to provide hands‑on HR support. This role will serve as the onsite HR presence for a Romeoville warehouse and hygiene plant, supporting a blue‑collar manufacturing workforce. The ideal candidate is approachable, dependable, and comfortable handling employee relations while partnering closely with site leadership. Our client designs and delivers advanced technology, automation, and digital solutions that help operations operate more efficiently and sustainably. Their products and systems support animal health, automation, data‑driven insights, and environmental responsibility across large‑scale agricultural operations.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 5+ years of progressive HR experience in a Generalist, Manager or HR Business Partner capacity
  • Experience supporting manufacturing, warehouse, or blue‑collar environments
  • Strong understanding of employee relations, HR compliance, and performance management
  • Experience supporting multi‑site and multi‑state employee populations
  • Working knowledge of ADP and/or Workday

Responsibilities

  • Act as the onsite HR contact for first and second shift employees at the Romeoville warehouse and hygiene plant
  • Build strong working relationships with site leadership, including the VP of Operations and VP of Sales & Service
  • Support employee relations activities such as attendance management, corrective action, performance improvement plans, and investigations
  • Provide both day‑to‑day HR support and assistance with larger HR initiatives
  • Partner with HR Centers of Excellence (Benefits, Payroll, Rewards) to resolve employee needs
  • Ensure consistency in HR policies while applying practical judgment within established guidelines
  • Support onboarding and training initiatives, including 30/60/90‑day check‑ins
  • Assist with compliance across multi‑site, multi‑state operations, with focus on Illinois and California regulations
