About The Position

As the Human Resources Business Partner, you’ll play a pivotal role in shaping the employee experience at AI. Reporting to the Head of HR, you’ll lead day-to-day HR operations, support leadership in employee relations, and foster a culture where people feel heard and supported. This role directly influences the success of our internal people operations—and by extension, the success of our client-partners.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources, business administration, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of progressive HR experience, ideally in a generalist or business partner capacity.
  • Strong understanding of employment laws and HR best practices.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • High emotional intelligence and organizational awareness, with the ability to navigate internal dynamics with diplomacy.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and support diverse client organizations.
  • Discretion and integrity in handling sensitive information.
  • Proficiency in HRIS systems and Microsoft Office Suite, Paylocity experience a plus.
  • SHRM-CP or PHR certification is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for day-to-day HR operations, offering guidance on policies, performance, and workplace concerns to promote a positive work environment.
  • Manage leave of absence processes supporting employee inquiries and related payroll procedures.
  • Ensure consistent and compliant application of HR policies to meet regulations across multiple states.
  • Partner with managers on performance reviews, goal setting, and performance-related matters.
  • Collaborate with payroll to process employee changes, maintain accurate HRIS records, and resolve payroll-related questions.
  • Support recruitment and onboarding efforts to create a seamless experience for candidates and new hires.
  • Work with the Head of HR and other leaders to identify organizational challenges and opportunities for improvement using data to guide decision making.
  • Stay current on HR trends and employment legislation to ensure compliance.
  • Engage regularly with employees—both in-person and virtually—to understand their needs, goals, and experiences.
  • Partner with the Head of HR to design and implement employee engagement initiatives.
  • Identify training needs, coordinate learning opportunities, and support professional development.
  • Prepare and analyze HR metrics and reports, identify trends, and contribute to strategic HR projects including process improvements and culture-building efforts.
