The Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP) is devoted to providing the full scope of employee relations services to the Raleigh Water Department as well as management consulting, organizational development, and other human resources services as needed. This position works in partnership with leaders, key stakeholders and HR colleagues to shape, develop and deliver HR plans and solutions in line with the needs and priorities of the organization. To be successful in this role, the candidate will have significant experience in employee relations and human resources consultative and analytical work and is considered the subject matter expert with the highest level of knowledge, providing consultation to other human resources staff and management. Responsibilities may include serving as a lead worker, assigning work and monitoring work completion and supervising paraprofessional and/or support staff including conducting performance evaluations, coordinating training, and implementing hiring, discipline and termination procedures. This position may be eligible for the City's Telework Program. This program allows for the ability to work from home approximately two days during the workweek; however, candidate must be flexible to work in the office for required in-person meetings and events.
