About The Position

This position serves as a point-of-contact for HR functional areas and HRBP's supporting Sun's US population. Associate responds to employee population related to the preparation, maintenance, processing, and auditing of manual and automated payroll data, information, and accuracy and completeness of employee records and payroll related activities and reports.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree with course work in human resources, business analytics or related field
  • 3-5 years payroll experience including preparation, maintenance, verification, auditing and processing employee and payroll related transactions; experience with SAP payroll preferred
  • 3-5 years' experience working with an integration HR platform
  • High Proficiency in Microsoft: Excel (ability to utilize pivot tables and v-lookup)
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite: Word, Outlook
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Strong customer service experience working with all stakeholders and customers
  • General data processing; SAP experience a plus
  • Record retrieval and storage systems
  • Ability to establish and maintain cooperative and effective working relationships with others
  • Determine appropriate action within clearly defined guidelines
  • Deliver work product on time with the highest level of quality
  • Work confidentially and with discretion
  • Work independently with little direction

Responsibilities

  • Monitor daily 'workforce services' help inboxes and respond to employee questions
  • Participate in the preparation and maintenance of records and reports related to payroll, employee information, time sheets, benefits, salaries, leave, taxes, deductions, payments and other assigned duties related to bi-weekly payroll process
  • Maintain employee and department records and employment files ensuring data integrity of Human Capital Management HR system and how the various modules within HRIS system are impacted by changes including but not limited to: Job information, Reporting, Business Processes, and security
  • Create and maintain custom reports for internal and external requests
  • Participate in the review, verification, auditing and processing of payroll change requests
  • Participate in payroll support functions; calculate, review, verify and post a variety of payroll data such as gross pay, retirement, contract adjustments, retroactive payments, hours, tax information and leave
  • Supports HRIS upgrades, patches, testing, and other projects as assigned
  • Duties include assisting with end-user support issues, impact analysis and planning for proposed new system releases and supporting user acceptance testing for new modules or region rollouts
  • Understand, manage and aid in navigation and support of integrated employee systems
  • Coordinate auditing, record-keeping and reporting functions to ensure proper application, calculation and reporting of payroll data, benefits and taxes
  • Input Compensation changes after verifying proper authorizing signatures, coding and accuracy of payroll adjustments
  • Perform other administrative assignments as needed
