The Human Resource Specialist will be responsible for and/or assist with assigned shared services human resources functions.

Requirements

  • Associates Degree in Human Resources, Business, or other related field and/or equivalent of 2 -3 years’ work experience, preferably in Human Resources.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office (Work, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
  • Attentive to detail
  • Ability to multitask
  • Able to produce quality work under pressure and tight deadlines while maintaining a high level of professionalism and confidentiality.
  • Occasional travel may be required.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a government security clearance.

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge of Costpoint desired.

Responsibilities

  • Assists with recordkeeping to include scanning and filing of documents related to hiring, termination, leave, transfer, and promotion particularly as related to Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO), affirmative action, and diversity initiatives.
  • Assists with preparation of plans, policies, documents, and reports including EEO-1, affirmative action plans, organizational charts, labor agreements, and employee handbooks.
  • Assists with preparation of documents and records required for contract negotiations, meetings, and negotiations with employee and/or labor organizations.
  • May assist the HR Benefits function with reconciliation and processing of monthly medical, dental, vision, Life & Disability, 529 and Supplemental Voluntary Disability insurance invoices.
  • Prepares reports, documents, presentations and will coordinate/assist with the self-audit of the HR Shared Services function.
  • Ensure that the strictest of confidentiality is always maintained.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
