About The Position

Wall Residences is seeking a full-time Human Resources (HR) Assistant for our busy office in Christiansburg, VA. The successful candidate will be an essential part of our high-performing and collaborative Human Resources team of staff & representatives in our Christiansburg, Floyd, and Madison Heights office locations, where we support a high-growth company with approximately 500 employees and operations throughout Virginia. This position is in-person, 8:30am – 5:00pm Monday through Friday in our Christiansburg office with occasional travel to our office in Floyd. This is not a remote position. Accuracy, reliability, strong customer service acumen, professionalism, and a high degree of organization are critical for successful performance. Must have effective oral and written communication and training and/or experience in office operations including organization of office files and confidential personnel documents. Strengths include the ability to work independently and as part of a larger team, prioritizing multiple and varied tasks.

Requirements

  • Knowledge of MS Office suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc) and data entry processes required.
  • Must have effective oral and written communication and training and/or experience in office operations including organization of office files and confidential personnel documents.
  • Strengths include the ability to work independently and as part of a larger team, prioritizing multiple and varied tasks.
  • Accuracy, reliability, strong customer service acumen, professionalism, and a high degree of organization are critical for successful performance.

Nice To Haves

  • Prior knowledge and experience with ADP or other HRIS systems and Adobe highly desirable.
  • Human Resources experience strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Managing documents in ADP & other software
  • Assisting with recruitment ads on Indeed, ADP, and other job boards
  • Onboarding new hires/rehires
  • Conducting new hire orientation
  • Answering emails
  • Supporting employees in all aspects of HR
  • Providing clerical assistance as needed for other departments/staff in Christiansburg
  • Ordering/stocking equipment & supplies
  • Getting/distributing mail
