Mission: Deliver the World’s Best Luxury Beauty Buying Experience Job Title : Human Resources Assistant Company: Cos Bar Retail Location : Corporate Reports To: Director of Human Resources Classification : Non-Exempt Number of Direct Reports: 0 ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND JOB RESPONSIBILITIES Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. Answers to inquiries for the HR department. Performs HRIS data entry and personnel file maintenance. Process bi-weekly payroll Assists employees and supervisors with basic interpretation of HR policies and procedures. Maintains confidential personnel files and personnel actions. Prepare letters and employment documentation Assist with onboarding and orientation processes Responds to reference checks and verifications of employment status. Assists with various HR projects. Assists with benefits administration. Process attendance records and other documents (e.g. W-2 and tax forms) Check payroll information for accuracy and ensure all relevant paperwork is in order Process all personnel with HR about changes in payroll (e.g. terminations, new hires) Oversee electronic payments and distribution of payroll checks Update data with salary or wage adjustments Support audits and reporting requirements Process other financial compensation or deductions (e.g. annual bonuses, severance pay, taxes, worker’s compensation) Administer benefit expenses, like insurance fees or paid leave Prepare reports to upper management upon request

Requirements

  • High School Diploma/ GED or equivalent
  • Understanding of all Microsoft programs word, excel, power point, outlook etc.
  • Expertise with multi state payroll process
  • Proficiency in timekeeping systems
  • Competencies Required Communication Critical Evaluation Relationship Management Ethical Practice

Nice To Haves

  • Paycor experience preferred
  • 6 Month Experience or entry level HR background or understanding preferred
