In this position, you will be responsible for creating Requests for Personnel Actions (RPAs) for both recruitment and non-recruitment actions, while also maintaining their case files. You will extend job offers and ensure that the correct pre-employment paperwork is assigned. Additionally, you will facilitate New Employee Orientation (NEO) training and coordinate surveys of training needs, collaborating with HR Specialists for further evaluation. Your role will also involve resolving minor employee issues related to conduct, performance dissatisfaction, poor work habits, and attendance. You will be tasked with pulling reports and providing support to troubleshoot discrepancies, as well as composing and preparing routine correspondence. Furthermore, you will assist HR Specialists with the administration of Centralized Leadership Development (CLD) programs and the Advanced Degree Program (ADP). Participation in updating and revising local civilian recognition/award policy is also part of your responsibilities, which includes reviewing award packages, providing suggestions, ensuring accuracy and completeness, and submitting awards packages to identified recipients.

  • Must be a US Citizen.
  • Must be determined suitable for federal employment.
  • Must participate in the direct deposit pay program.

  • Current federal employees applying for GS jobs must serve at least one year at the next lower grade level.
  • Appointment of retired military members within 180 days immediately following retirement date is subject to provisions of 5 United States Code 3326.

  • Required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty.
  • Ability to type at least 40 words per minute.
