About The Position

You will serve as a Human Resources Assistant (Employee Relations) in the Employee Relations Department of NAVAIRWARCENWPNDIV CHINA LAKE. This position involves providing technical support to the Labor and Employee Relations (LER) team, managing administrative files, and ensuring compliance with regulations and procedures.

Requirements

• Must be a US Citizen.
• Must be determined suitable for federal employment.
• Must participate in the direct deposit pay program.
• New employees to the Department of the Navy will be required to successfully pass the E-Verify employment verification check.
• Generally, current federal employees applying for STRL jobs must serve at least one year at the next lower band level.
• Males born after 12-31-59 must be registered for Selective Service.
• Required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty.
• This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical support to the LER team with management inquiries, employee suitability, discipline, adverse actions, and performance management.
• Prepare and review documentation to ensure administrative actions are complete and accurate.
• Establish, review, and closeout administrative files and reports.
• Review regulations, follow processes and procedures, and conduct research to provide advice and answers to customers.
• Establish and maintain effective working relationships with coworkers and employees through effective listening and interpersonal skills.
