Requirements

  • High School Diploma (or GED)
  • Minimum of one year of college or vocational school education in office skills, computer or closely related field
  • Minimum of two years related experience
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to organize documents physically and electronically
  • Telephone skills
  • Detail-oriented
  • Accurate use of the English language and grammar
  • Ability to work independently

Responsibilities

  • Conduct reference checks
  • Send correspondences to relevant stakeholders
  • Maintain and update reports and binders
  • Maintain the New Employee Orientation bi-monthly attendance list and invite
  • Send 'First Day' emails to all candidates
  • Track attendance of various Human Resources events
  • Serve as the primary back up to the front desk receptionist
  • Deliver and retrieve documents from relevant departments and parties
  • Answer and transfer calls on a multi-line phone system and greet visitors
  • Provide information and direct callers/visitors to proper personnel
  • Screen telephone calls and direct visitors to secure areas of Court Administration
  • Process sensitive/confidential documents
  • Set up and maintain files, books, records, and other departmental systems of responsibility
  • Provide clerical assistance to the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) Coordinator
  • Type documents, maintain calendars and process mail
  • Establish a working relationship with judges, court personnel, attorneys, law enforcement, social services, witnesses and the general public
  • Assist in maintaining files in file room
  • Shred documents
