About the position

The position involves actively supporting the Company's commitment to safety and its core values. The individual will represent the Company with high moral standards while adhering to the Company's Code of Business Conduct and Ethics. Key responsibilities include defining, recommending, and implementing recruitment strategies throughout the organization, managing job postings, applicant tracking, and social media advertisements, and participating in college recruiting and career fairs. The role also includes assisting managers with resume reviews, candidate interviews, salary recommendations, and drafting employment offers. Additionally, the individual will manage employee relations issues, ensure compliance with labor and employment laws, and provide HR training for managers and employees. The position requires staying current on HR trends within the construction industry and participating in community outreach events to promote the company's positive image.

Responsibilities

  • Actively support the Company's commitment to safety and its core values.
  • Represent the Company with high moral standards and adhere to the Company's Code of Business Conduct and Ethics.
  • Define, recommend, and implement recruitment strategies throughout the organization.
  • Manage internal/external job postings, applicant tracking, social media, and job advertisements.
  • Assist managers with resume review, candidate interview and selection, and salary recommendations.
  • Manage employee relations issues, including coaching and counseling managers and employees.
  • Ensure compliance with labor and employment law, including conducting internal investigations and responding to claims.
  • Coach and counsel managers and employees on HR policies and procedures.
  • Provide HR training for managers and employees, including developing training materials.
  • Stay current on HR trends and best practices within the construction industry.
  • Plan and participate in community outreach events and initiatives.
  • Build and maintain relationships with local community organizations.
  • Promote the company's positive image within the community.
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as required.

Requirements

  • 4+ years generalist experience in human resources strongly preferred.
  • At least 3 years of experience in recruitment and staffing, employee relations, training or HR support.
  • Bachelor of Science in Business, Human Resources or a related discipline, or equivalent level experience.
  • Solid knowledge and practical application of federal and state employment laws.
  • Demonstrated skill in the successful development and implementation of creative recruiting strategies.
  • Strong PC skills including proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and database applications.
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively with personnel at all organization levels.
  • Excellent service orientation.
  • Bilingual in English/Spanish preferred.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality.
  • Field HR experience within the construction or oil and gas industry is a plus.
  • PHR certification strongly preferred.
