Under limited direction, provides management and employee groups advanced journey-level professional human resources (HR) support on a broad range of HR issues and decisions, primarily in matters that require independent discretion. Responsible for the implementation of services and programs in one or more areas of HR. The HR Advisor Senior will be responsible for all City of Austin Leave Programs will have a background in Employee Relations and relevant audit functions. They will be responsible for providing guidance to management and employees, and will provide leadership with updates on a regular basis regarding cases assigned to them. This position will proactively research and resolve leave management and ER concerns, as well as ensure the appropriate COA policies are administered. The ideal candidate is a strong communicator who is comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with employees from entry to executive level. Excellent organizational and oratory skills are a must, as is being an active listener and collaborator.
