About The Position

We are seeking an experienced HR professional to support our Dalton operations. This role requires a strong foundational understanding of Human Resources principles and the ability to operate independently in a fast-paced environment. This is not an entry-level HR role. Candidates must already understand core HR processes and be able to execute them without step-by-step instruction. While leadership support is available, this position requires initiative, accountability, and independent problem-solving.

Requirements

  • Minimum 3–5 years of hands-on HR experience
  • Direct experience completing I-9 documentation independently
  • Experience managing onboarding documentation
  • Working knowledge of employment verification procedures
  • Understanding of personnel file compliance standards
  • Ability to work independently without constant oversight
  • Based in Dalton, GA
  • Reports directly to the HR Director located in Atlanta, GA.
  • Must be comfortable working independently while supporting a remote HR leadership team.

Responsibilities

  • Act as the on-site HR point of contact for employees in Dalton.
  • Manage the onboarding process for new hires, including:
  • Processing new hire paperwork.
  • Entering data into ADP.
  • Assisting employees who complete paper onboarding forms and transitioning their information into ADP.
  • Assist with recruiting and hiring efforts including interview scheduling and onboarding coordination.
  • Maintain accurate and confidential personnel files in compliance with company policy and employment regulations.
  • Provide general HR administrative support including filing, reporting, and responding to employee inquiries.
  • Assist with employee communications and ensure new hires understand HR processes and next steps.
  • Support the HR Director in implementing HR initiatives, policies, and procedures.
  • Independently complete I-9 documentation within federal timelines
  • Read and interpret the company handbook and apply policies consistently
  • Maintain audit-ready personnel files
  • Identify documentation gaps and correct them
  • Support basic employee relations documentation
