About The Position

Located in Dillon, South Carolina Wyman Gordon is a major industrial manufacturer serving a wide range of industries including aerospace, power generation, and industrial businesses. The Human Resources Administrative Assistant will perform the daily administrative and HR duties for Wyman Gordon Dillon. The HR Administrative Assistant will assist the HR Generalist and HR Manager with recruitment, record maintenance, benefit administration, assessment administration, new hire orientation, employee engagement etc.

Requirements

  • Intermediate computer skills (MS Excel, MS Word, and ADP Applications). Experience with Workday is a plus.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities, stay organized, and easily adapt to changing situations and priorities.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills, as well as interpersonal and leadership skills.
  • Ability to professionally communicate and work cooperatively with others.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Basic English language skills and the ability to read, follow, and interpret planning and work order instructions.
  • Willingness to learn.
  • US Citizenship or Permanent Residency is required due to government military contracts.

Nice To Haves

  • Working towards an Associate degree in Business or Human Resources preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain records for training, continuing education, tuition reimbursement, and disciplinary documentation.
  • Assist with the administration of FMLA and other leaves of absence.
  • Participate in benefit administration to include new hire enrollment; open enrollment; change reporting.
  • Prepare check requests for invoice review and approval.
  • Participate in the recruitment of hourly; salaried non-exempt and exempt personnel to include posting positions; reviewing resumes / applications; scheduling interviews.
  • Conduct new employee orientation; administer and / or schedule pre-employment assessments; conduct reference checks; request background investigations; schedule pre-placement physicals.
  • Assist in the exit interview process.
  • Assist with employee events and employee engagement activities.
  • Maintain personnel files in compliance with applicable legal requirements.
  • Perform additional administrative tasks including Communication Board updates, Birthday Cards, Purchase Requisitions, Organizational Announcements and Data Entry.
  • Sign guests in at the front door.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
