About The Position

The Human Resource Services Coordinator at Pikes Peak State College is responsible for coordinating time and leave management, student employment, and volunteer processes. This role involves calculating overtime, reviewing timesheets for accuracy, and assisting in training employees and supervisors on time and leave submission. The coordinator will also oversee the volunteer process, serve as an initial reviewer for pre-employment background checks, and participate in wellness initiatives and ADA accommodation panels. The position requires in-person presence on campus with the possibility of remote work after training.

Requirements

  • Completed Bachelor's degree from a regionally accredited institution or an Associate's degree with two years of relevant experience, or four years of relevant experience.
  • Two years of professional level experience in human resource functions such as interviewing, timesheets, and leave management.

Nice To Haves

  • Completed Master's degree from a regionally accredited institution.
  • Experience working in a Colorado higher education or community college environment.
  • Three or more years of experience in human resource related functions.
  • Experience utilizing Banner or other HRIS systems.
  • Experience interpreting State of Colorado rules and procedures.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate time and leave management for employees, including managing leave earned and used, conducting training, and auditing timesheets.
  • Serve as the primary contact for student employees and volunteers, providing guidance and training to supervisors.
  • Process requests for student employment and ensure eligibility and documentation are complete.
  • Oversee the volunteer process and maintain accurate records of student employment and volunteer logs.
  • Assist with compliance by ensuring accurate completion of personnel files and labor law postings.
  • Serve on the Wellness Committee and distribute wellness information to the campus community.
  • Participate in ADA accommodation panels and make recommendations on reasonable accommodations.
