About The Position
The University of Washington (UW) is seeking a Human Resource Payroll Manager for the School of Nursing (SoN). This position provides professional-level human resources support, advising leaders and employees on performance management, labor relations, payroll issues, and regulatory compliance. The role involves responsibilities in hiring, compensation, training, and may include signature authority for certain HR actions. The position requires independent judgment and discretion, supervising daily payroll operations, managing payroll staff, and supporting faculty and staff on various HR and payroll issues. The role collaborates closely with SoN leaders on confidential operational matters and participates in initiatives related to compliance, labor relations, process improvement, and workforce development. This position significantly impacts the University by ensuring consistent, compliant, and efficient HR and payroll operations within the SoN, contributing to a stable and effective workforce.
