We are seeking a strategic, people-centric, and result-driven HR Manager to serve as a HR partner to the local management team at specified site(s) within Materials Science Solutions, a platform of IDEX Corporation. This role is responsible for aligning human capital strategies with business objectives, driving organizational effectiveness, and fostering a culture of trust, teamwork, and excellence. The HR Manager will also lead and develop a high-performing HR team, ensuring operational excellence and strategic impact. The ideal candidate will be a proactive advisor, skilled at workforce planning, talent management, and change leadership. The HR Manager will report directly to the Director, Global Human Resources and will be a member of the site(s) leadership team.

Requirements

  • Bachelors in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience of progressive HR experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
  • PHR/SPHR and/or SHRM-CP/SHRM-SCP strongly preferred.
  • Certification in a coaching methodology strongly preferred.
  • Acts with highest-level of integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality.
  • Strong knowledge of federal and state employment laws and regulations.
  • Proven ability to build relationships, influence stakeholders, and drive change.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, and conflict resolutions skills.
  • Exceptional organizational and analytical abilities with attention to detail.
  • Demonstrated ability to prioritize, delegate, and manage multiple initiatives.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and HRIS, or the ability to learn quickly.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with the site leadership to understand business goals and implement HR strategies focused on talent acquisition, employee engagement, retention, talent development, and succession planning.
  • Champion a culture of trust, teamwork, and excellence, sponsoring employee engagement initiatives and action planning to create a great place to work.
  • Provide data-driven insights to support workforce planning, organizational design, and strategic decision-making.
  • Lead workforce planning and succession strategies to ensure talent readiness for future business needs.
  • Oversee the talent acquisition process, ensuring a positive candidate experience and acquiring the skills, competencies, and positive behaviors needed for business growth.
  • Drive performance management process, promoting accountability, feedback, and continuous improvement and development.
  • Analyze compensation and rewards regularly to attract and retain top talent.
  • Provide learning and development initiatives that support employee growth and career progression.
  • Manage employee relations, including disciplinary actions, investigations, and terminations with professionalism and compliance.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and internal policies.
  • Stay current on HR trends, technologies, legal developments, applying best practices to enhance HR effectiveness.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
