The Hotel Human Resources Manager at Uniland Hospitality will play a crucial role in refining and executing the human resource and talent strategy for the hospitality division, which includes two prominent hotels in the Buffalo area. This position involves overseeing various HR activities such as recruiting, onboarding, compliance, employee relations, and training, while partnering closely with hotel leadership to ensure exceptional service and employee engagement.

  • Oversee the development, management, and administration of human resources activities including recruiting and onboarding.
  • Build strong relationships and foster a culture of teamwork and respect throughout the organization.
  • Develop, recommend, and assist with the implementation of HR policies and procedures.
  • Support employees with HR-related topics and ensure compliance with employment laws.
  • Manage employee benefit programs and oversee annual open enrollment processes.
  • Conduct periodic site audits and ensure compliance with training and documentation requirements.
  • Collaborate with General Managers to respond to unemployment claims and attend hearings as necessary.
  • Design and implement standards for safe and efficient hotel operations.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field required.
  • 3+ years of human resource management experience, preferably in a hospitality environment.
  • PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP, or SHRM-SCP certification(s) preferred.
  • Strong English communication abilities, both written and verbal.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and HRIS systems, ADP experience preferred.
  • Experience in a multi-site HR role within the hospitality industry.
  • Knowledge of employment-related laws and regulations.
  • Ability to operate in a 7-day per week, 24-hour per day business setting.
