About The Position

Joining Allison Transmission as a Human Resources Summer Intern will immerse you in an innovative and dynamic setting, allowing you to gain experience within the manufacturing sector. Our hands-on internship provides the opportunity to partner closely with the HR team and gain experience in areas such as talent acquisition, talent management, employee relations, and HR operations.

Requirements

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor's Degree in Human Resource Management, Organizational Development or similar Business Field.
• Must be a rising Junior or Senior.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities proficiently.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Basic understanding of HR principles and practices.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Assist in planning and executing employee engagement initiatives, events, and programs.
• Participate and support in formal and informal training opportunities.
• Support recruiting by posting job openings, sourcing candidates, screening resumes, and scheduling follow-ups.
• Assist with onboarding by preparing new hire paperwork and supporting with orientation.
• Contribute to a variety of projects, supporting the Centers of Excellence (COE).
• Network and learn about multiple functions (Corporate Functions and Manufacturing).
