The Job: Consolidated Aerospace Manufacturing (CAM) is looking for a Human Resources Generalist, onsite in Skokie, IL, to support the manufacturing operations of the Engineered Products (EP) team. This position supports the business by providing execution support for people strategies, organization development, and other HR initiatives. The Human Resources Generalist will serve as a trusted advisor for the site. The main objectives of this high-impact role are focused on supporting the key HR strategies to attract, engage, develop, reward and retain a diverse, highly qualified and culturally aligned employee base. You’ll get to: Provide full range of day-to-day HR support to the local team including onboarding/offboarding, engagement, development, timekeeping, safety initiatives, etc. Recruitment of hourly employees at the Skokie site through multiple methods and provide candidate screening and scheduling support for the Engineered Products team in Ohio and Connecticut. Work together with HR team, employees, supervisors, and managers to resolve employee relations issues as they arise, including partnering with Sr. HR Manager on investigations; Provides some counsel to improve or correct performance issues and deficiencies. Promote HR programs to create an efficient and conflict-free workplace. Implement and monitor adherence to all organization-specific Human Resource related policies, procedures and practices, act as a liaison to staff regarding policies. Drive employee engagement through effective communication, employee events, and activities. Promote strong relationships between the Company and the Community to develop and maintain good corporate citizenship. Support timekeeping and payroll activities for both the salaried and hourly workforce across the Engineered Products locations. Prepare reports and metrics to measure HR effectiveness. Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources or related field required
  • 2+ years of progressive HR experience; manufacturing environment experience required; aerospace and EH&S experience preferred
  • Proven experience with project development and management through successful completion
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills and the ability to conduct meetings and presentations
  • Aptitude in problem-solving
  • Ability to communicate with individuals at all levels of the facility
  • Self-starting, results-orientated individual who is team oriented
  • Outstanding employee relations skills with a strong customer focus
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint; kronos and Workday experience a plus
