About The Position

The Human Resource Generalist at Asbury Automotive Group plays a crucial role in supporting the HR functions within the dealership. This position is responsible for maintaining compliance with employment laws, educating store management on HR best practices, and conducting employee relations investigations. The HR Generalist will work collaboratively with various teams to enhance employee engagement and operational efficiency while promoting a positive workplace culture.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED; Bachelor's degree in HR Management preferred.
• 4 years of human resources experience.
• Proficiency in Microsoft 365 suite, including Outlook, SharePoint, Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
• Experience conducting employee relations investigations.
• Strong interpersonal skills to handle sensitive situations and documentation.
• Excellent organizational and multi-tasking skills; detail-oriented.
• Public speaking experience.

Nice To Haves

• SHRM or HRCI certification preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Maintain current knowledge of Federal and State employment and wage and hour laws.
• Work collaboratively with onsite Team Leaders to educate and ensure compliance within stores.
• Execute recruitment and onboarding processes.
• Evaluate hiring practices in high turnover departments.
• Facilitate regular benefit education for employees.
• Conduct thorough employee relations investigations in collaboration with the Regional HR Manager.
• Assist with various research projects and special projects as needed.
