This position is open to Alaskan Residents only. As part of the Employee Relations (ER) team, the Human Resource Consultant will provide journey-level professional human resource guidance and support to assigned client agency(s). The consultant will independently manage a caseload that includes informal consultations on performance improvement, handling progressive discipline, and processing complaints. The Division of Personnel (DOP) aims to provide policy, consultative guidance, and direct human resource services to State of Alaska Executive Branch agencies. The Employee Relations Program serves as a centralized resource offering expertise and tools to empower State of Alaska employees in preventing and resolving personnel issues. The role is crucial in fostering a culture of accountability and respect, building partnerships, and seeking holistic solutions that deliver operational and proactive results. Joining the team offers the opportunity to work with a dedicated group of Human Resource professionals in a friendly and supportive office committed to client-focused human resource services. This consultant position is overtime eligible and may be located in Anchorage at the Division of Personnel offices in the Atwood Building or in Juneau at the State Office Building.
