About The Position

The Human Resources Assistant provides administrative and operational support to the HR team by assisting with employee relations documentation, recruiting activities, records management, and HR program coordination. This role is essential to maintaining accurate HR records, supporting compliance, and fostering a positive, service oriented, and engaging employee experience across the organization.

Requirements

  • A minimum of 1 year of Human Resources experience is required.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate degree or HR coursework preferred.
  • Driver’s License is required with a good driving record
  • Some travel is required
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to handle sensitive and confidential information.
  • Professional and kind communication skills; use respectful, positive language in all interactions verbally, written, and electronic.
  • Demonstrates professionalism through body language, word choice, and responsiveness.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • Ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and work collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Strong customer service skills approach every interaction with a genuine desire to help and support others.
  • Successful completion of pre-employment background check and drug testing

Nice To Haves

  • UKG experience is preferred but not required

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the first point of contact for general HR inquiries by answering the HR hotline and directing team members appropriately.
  • Scan, upload, and maintain employee records within the HRIS and document management systems.
  • Accurately record and file disciplinary documentation and employee relations forms.
  • Assist with recruiting functions including candidate correspondence, interview coordination, and career fair preparation.
  • Support onboarding and orientation processes, ensuring all required documentation is completed and filed timely.
  • Assist with exit interview coordination and ensure separation documentation is completed and retained.
  • Support HR programs such as open enrollment, biometric screenings, service awards, and benefits administration.
  • Prepare and maintain HR billing, reports, and routine audits as assigned.
  • Create, update, and maintain job descriptions as requested by management.
  • Perform general administrative tasks including filing, mail distribution, and internal document delivery.
  • Coordinates office Birthday celebrations, and milestone anniversary communication with the team.
  • Perform other duties as assigned to support the HR department.
