About The Position

The Human Research Protections Office seeks a detail-oriented, organized, and energetic candidate to support its Office Manager and other staff and handle many of the office’s routine tasks. Human Research Protections (HRP) Assistants are integral to the smooth functioning of Utah State University’s Human Research Protection Program (HRPP). This office is responsible for ensuring that all research conducted by Utah State University faculty, staff, and students which involves human subjects is conducted ethically, in line with legal requirements, and with strong protections in place for research participants. This is done by having all research with human participants submitted for review in line with the Belmont Report principles of Justice, Beneficence, and Respect for Persons. This is a part-time, non-benefited wage hourly position, with a strong preference for students who qualify for Work Study. The Office of Research provides research administration services year-round, and as such, seeks candidates who can commit to working during the entirety of the calendar year (including the summer), as opposed to solely the academic year. This position is not telework eligible. To apply, please submit a current resume (no more than two pages) outlining your relevant experience and qualifications, as well as a copy of your class schedule for the Summer (if applicable) and Fall 2026 semester(s) if you are a student. Qualified candidates will be invited to a written and then a live interview.
