The ProSidian & Solkoa (Engagement Team) seek a Human Factor Psychologist Consultant (Level 8) [CLIN0005 Full Time] located/working at a The Federal Law Enforcement Agency space at approved locations including OCONUS. Most of the work will be performed at The Agency’s Office of Training, Quantico and Stafford, Virginia. to support an engagement for a Federal Law Enforcement Agency to provide Personnel Recovery (PR) Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to further its existing Personnel Recovery (PR) Program behalf of The Law Enforcement Agency’s, Office of Training (TR) with training to entail incorporating a one (1) day training regimen pertaining to Academic Resistance Laboratory Training (ARL). The ProSidian Engagement Team will also conduct a biannual Backcountry Skills Week training course, speak to, and develop a course syllabus for the anticipated future ten (10) day Personnel Recovery Emergency Preparedness (PREP)/Foreign Affairs Counter Threat (FACT) courses. Personnel Recovery SMEs shall suggest new policies and procedures, conduct/assist inter-agency coordination and provide training and operational support to The Law Enforcement Agency personnel that could potentially be isolated from other friendly personnel or detained by a terrorist or criminal elements while deployed Outside the Continental United States (OCONUS). The ProSidian Team shall provide training to The Agency Personnel, Task Force Officers, The Agency’s Emergency Support Function (ESF-13), Other Government Agencies (OGAs), and foreign host nation counterparts. The SMEs shall be familiar with Department of State (DoS) Smith Training and High Threat Security Overseas Seminar (HTSOS), Serving Aboard for Families & Employees (SAFE), Foreign Affairs Counter Threat (FACT), and Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) National Incident Management System (NIMS). These SMEs shall provide training and recommend necessary information to be included in interagency Memorandum of Agreements (MOAs)/Memorandum of Understanding (MOU’s) required to ensure The Law Enforcement Agency Personnel is incorporated into the existing Personnel Recovery (PR) infrastructure within the Department of Defense (DoD), DoS, and OGAs. SMEs shall provide training and logistical support for the Law Enforcement Agency’s Office of Training (TR) and deploy assistance in both Continental United States (CONUS) and OCONUS training deployments. This is a Full-Time ProSidian employed W-2 position with commensurate benefits and competitive salary. The ideal candidate shall work to support requirements as a Human Factor Psychologists and Human Factor Psychologists are focused on studying how humans interact with machines, the environment, social network, and in isolation to improve human performance and resilience given the availability or lack of regardless of technology, consumer products, energy systems, transportation, telecommunications, and other important tools in our daily living environments. Human Factor Psychologists conduct research studies on a wide range of human traits to help in the process of designing machines, the environment, social network, and in isolation or systems that people can use properly, safely, and comfortably. Many Human Factor Psychologists will study errors or accidents that have been made and determine which factors could be altered in order to avoid another incident in the future. In some case, Human Factor Psychologists will specialize their career in working with architects to guarantee that factories, offices, hospitals, and other places of employment are designed with employee safety in mind. If you choose to become a ProSidian Human Factor Psychologist, you could be on the frontlines in helping develop tools and techniques that maximize usability, improve efficiency in daily tasks, and enhance safety for better well-being. Human Factor Psychologist shall participate in the planning and operation of government and hostage survival detention, interrogation, and de-briefing exercises and laboratories. Human Factor Psychologist shall monitor proactive supervisory procedures, preemptive training for instructors and supervisors, and ensure real-time monitoring and intervention activities to detect and intercede with either instructors or students prior to student harm during ARL training courses conducted during PR II and anticipated future PREP courses. Human Factor Psychologist shall coordinate with the TM on schedule. Human Factor Psychologist shall monitor the performance of the students and the instructors in the PR II or the anticipated future PREP courses during the hostage survival detention, interrogation, and de-briefing exercises and laboratories in an effort to detect unacceptably high levels of exercise-induced stress and or inappropriate behavior. Human Factor Psychologist shall advise the PR Training Unit Chief when/if individuals involved in the training (students and/or instructors) begin displaying exercise-induced stress or inappropriate behavior. Human Factor Psychologist shall provide mental health counseling to those students who fail or perform poorly in the course of instruction or who are reacting negatively to the laboratory training. Human Factor Psychologist shall participate in ARL de-briefing exercises. Human Factor Psychologist shall be prepared to informally counsel/assist students and/or instructors who request or indicate a desire to discuss their performance during the ARL role-play laboratory training. Overall, The Human Factor Psychologist shall integrate as part of Personnel Recovery Program Support and Services to studying and train stakeholders how to understand and leverage position and resilience given human traits like perception, sensory processing, attention, decision making, and motor skills to apply psychological principles to a variety of fields.
