About The Position

The Human Capital Management Administrator 1 position at the Ohio Department of Health is a full-time role focused on providing high-level strategic planning and advising on HR initiatives. Requirements

  • Completion of undergraduate core program in human resources, business or public administration; 36 months of experience in human resources management or administration including 18 months of supervisory or managerial experience.
  • Completion of graduate core program in human resources, business or public administration; 24 months of experience in human resources management or administration including 18 months of supervisory or managerial experience.
  • 12 months of experience as Human Capital Management Manager, 64615, or equivalent qualifications.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with Taleo system for HR management.
  • Knowledge of succession planning and management principles.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in finding solutions to HR problems and improve program staffing and organizational needs.
  • Set short and long-term goals for HR and agency processes and cost savings.
  • Make recommendations to the HR chief and senior leaders.
  • Oversee staffing and ceiling levels for the Ohio Department of Health (ODH) and manage fiscal/budgeting activities for HR.
  • Direct staff activities in position management, recruitment, and related HR processes/programs.
  • Create and maintain a network to increase collaboration within the community for recruitment.
  • Represent the agency in public health recruiting efforts to attract diverse applicants.
  • Supervise assigned staff, including monitoring work, interviewing, selecting, and training new employees.
