About The Position

The incumbent is responsible for assisting in the overall upkeep, maintenance, and renovation of properties leased, owned, and/or operated by the HUD Board.

Supervision and Direction:

Under the supervision of the Facility Maintenance Worker, the incumbent performs tasks related to:

Preventive maintenance and repairs of building systems

Plumbing, electrical, and HVAC system upkeep

Immediate and emergency repair response and system breakdown coverage

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED
• Valid Virginia driver's license
• Experience in facility maintenance required with basic knowledge of building trades, plumbing, electrical, and HVAC.
• Flexible schedule

Responsibilities

• Assist with routine and emergency maintenance of facilities
• Conduct repairs in accordance with safety and regulatory standards
• Maintain accurate records of all maintenance activities and related expenditures using an established work order system
• Ensure compliance with OSHA regulations in all aspects of maintenance work
